Discover how a 2015 G550 can be upgraded with a 2-inch lift, 33-inch all-terrain tires, Fox shocks, and fully functional rock sliders. This build balances aesthetics, off-road capability, and on-road drivability for the perfect G-Wagon experience.
This 2015 G550 build is our take on how these trucks should have come from the factory. With 20-inch AMG wheels fitted with 33-inch Falcon AT4 tires and a 2-inch suspension lift, the proportions, stance, and overall look are perfection.
The lift includes JWO 2-inch springs, Fox 2.0 shocks, braided stainless steel brake lines, diff lock lines, and our custom Fox ATS pass-through steering damper for neutral handling. Caster correction bushings and new radius arm bushings ensure stability and precision. This setup keeps drivability flawless while giving you off-road capability.
Our in-house rock sliders replace the factory running boards, offering a clean, powder-coated, textured finish. Functional and strong enough to support the truck in off-road scenarios, these sliders also allow high-lift jacking with no body damage.
This wasn’t just a “mask and spray” job. Alliance Auto removed:
All glass, door handles, rubber seals, and trim
The interior seats to protect freshly reupholstered leather
Inner side panels and weather stripping
Mirrors, bumpers, and all mechanical front-end components
This degree of disassembly ensures perfect paint coverage and access to parts that are normally hidden—crucial for a restoration of this caliber.
We tuck the factory exhaust tips to prevent damage from rocks and debris while preserving the signature G-Wagon throaty sound. A budget-friendly, functional, and aesthetic upgrade that maintains the factory audio character.
The interior received a command upgrade, featuring a larger screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for enhanced navigation. Aside from routine maintenance and differential servicing, the cabin remains largely stock, emphasizing functional elegance.
Matching 33-inch tires on all five wheels (including the spare) ensure even wear and longer life, with a simple clockwise rotation method recommended every oil change. A 30mm spacer helps achieve perfect wheel offset and aesthetic balance.

This build allows the 2015 G550 to dominate both road and mild off-road terrain. Ride quality is smooth, arguably better than stock, and all functional elements, from suspension to exhaust, are fully optimized. The truck performs flawlessly in mountains, snow, and uneven terrain while maintaining excellent on-road manners.
