Travel with Alliance Auto Care to Nashville for a rare Lamborghini LM00002 inspection. Discover engine condition, brake systems, interior quality, and test drive results before making a high-stakes purchase.
We started at 4:00 a.m. at Denver International Airport, heading out of state to inspect a very special vehicle for Nothing But Geese. While not a G-Wagon, the Lamborghini LM00002 caught our attention immediately. With its Italian flair yet boxy SUV design, it was a unique opportunity to see one of these rare collector vehicles up close.
Our inspection focused on several key areas:
Transmission and Clutch: Minor leaks were found at the clutch slave cylinder and reverse sensor, both easily serviceable. The LM retains its factory transfer case concept similar to a G-Wagon, including oil pumps and coolers for heat management.
Cosmoline Coating: Much like Mercedes G-Wagons, this LM00002 has thick factory-applied cosmoline to prevent rust and erosion.
Suspension and Bushings: All upgraded rubber bushings were intact, with no cracking or pitting. Front tie rod ends and idler arm bearings had minor play that will need repacking.
Brakes: Front calipers feature dual sets for stopping power, while rear drum brakes require adjustment for optimal pedal feel. Pads are near 10mm and ready for service.
Oil Leaks: Minor upper oil pan seepage and a potential early head gasket leak were noted. Heat cycling is expected to stabilize these.
Unique Features: The LM00002 uses hydraulic struts for its rear lift, cyclonic air filters for long-lasting clean airflow, and a Countach V12 engine with Diablo injection paired with a ZF 5-speed manual and separate high/low transfer case.
Driving the LM00002 revealed that intention and precision are key. With a V12 from the Countach, it delivers 400+ horsepower, shifts smoothly, and responds beautifully when driven confidently. Steering play is minor, brakes need slight adjustment, and the suspension feels robust.
The interior is pristine with bright red upholstery, functional vents, and fully operational gauges. Woodwork, carpet, and seating are in exceptional condition. Exterior paint shows minor door and roof imperfections, making it a fantastic driver with room for panel-by-panel touch-ups later. Original tires need replacement due to age, but the vehicle is otherwise collector-ready.
A special shout-out to Beani of Nashville and Richie for a transparent, welcoming experience. The showroom is immaculate, with other exotic vehicles including Paganis and G-Wagons on display. This LM00002 represents a unique investment, offering value and appreciation potential for collectors.
Back at our Alliance Auto Care shop in Colorado, we’ll complete minor cosmetic and mechanical updates: chrome door hinges, back grab rails, interior wood grain enhancements, and minor mechanical tweaks to ensure the LM00002 is perfect before returning it to the client.
The Lamborghini LM00002 field trip and inspection highlight how Alliance Auto Care handles rare and exotic vehicles with precision, transparency, and expertise. From early morning flights to hands-on inspections, our team ensures every collector SUV is ready for the road and for history.
